Welcome to the first News-in-Brief of 2016, and it has been quite an exciting start to the year. This edition is packed with information about the various happenings, which we believe will be useful to the IGeLU user community.
IGeLU 2015 @ Budapest saw the election of a new IGeLU Chair and Jirka Kende, past chair of IGeLU, shares his thoughts on the smooth nature of the transition.
The new business unit – ExLibris, A ProQuest Company, formed due to the acquisition of ExLibris by ProQuest, has resulted in an expanded portfolio of library solutions that now includes Intota, the Summon service, 360 Link® and SIPX®, in addition to Alma, Aleph®, the bX™ recommender, Primo®, Rosetta, SFX®, Voyager®, and the newly launched Leganto reading-list solution and campusM™ mobile campus solution. After the successful completion of the Budapest Conference, work is already in full swing, planning the 11th IGeLU Conference in Trondheim, Norway. Naomi Greidinger, Chair of the IGeLU 2016 Programme Planning Committee, provides a sneak peek at current activities. In addition, this edition also carries interesting updates from the various Product Working Groups and Special Interest Working Groups below, which we hope will be informative.
Last, but not least, effort is underway for the creation of a Leganto Product Working Group. Keep a lookout for updates in the next edition of our News-in-Brief.
